Hello guys, just trying this game out and I choose Guardian as my main. But I realize that even as a Guardian,I cannot tank much damage. I died easily in pvp and also pve. Are there any pro Guardian out there can share their view?Even doing some quests are hard because of low damage im doing. Are there item that can change job inside the game cause im already lvl 14.

Edit : Im a solo player

Well just FYI u are in the stage of the game where Guardian is at its worst. PvP is hella hard at this point u r there to chain cc n that's all. As far as Tanking u will be using a Regen build that allows you to solo Strong monsters in Adamantine Caves. For this basic build u will need 12 Chaos Shards which should be easy. Here are the cores to the Regen Build:

-HAMMER OF JUSTICE: Vanguard (1 shard)- Drops cooldown by 1 sec per Block (passive block should be around 10% rn,but no worries). Healing Blow (2 shards)- Every 3rd cast will Apply a stack of Regeneration (one of regen methods)

-TAUNT: Brawler (1 shard)- reduce cooldown by 2sec (trust me u will want to spam the shit outa this skill). Challenge (2 shards)- turns taunt into n AoE more u taunt the more effective the Regen. Stonewall (3 shards)- After casting taunt for the next 3 sec you have 100% Block Rate (THIS IS KEY TO THE BUILD,Allows you to spam Hammer of Justice to apply its Healing Blow Passive and Aegis stacks below).

-AEGIS: Passive: Gain 3% block rate, Gain a stack for every Blocked Attack, each charge reduces incoming dmg by 2% (you can now see how Taunts Challenge/Stonewall is crazy important in this build). Active: Gain a shield based on the amount of stacks you have. Revenge (1 shard): Everytime to take dmg, 50% chance to reduce cooldown by 1 sec (more attacks u recieve the faster the cd). Second Wind (2 shards): Evertime you get a stack theres a 30% chance to get a stack of Regen. (Hmm im seeing a pattern going on with Taunts Stonewall).

Hopefully this will help you out my dude. HAVE FUN!!!!!

Where do you get particles of Chaos?

This is obtained in thrle Talent tree, they look like Diamond Icons. These will be core to enable your skills to allow tanking capabilities. In addition you will unlock new Skills and Passives to adjust your build. Obviously substats will be picked up along the way. Here is a simple priority list when unlocking in the Talent Tree:

Active/Passive Skill> Chaos Shards> HP> Block (our main substat)> etc.

If your leveul is high enough, immediatly move on to next Level Tree after obtaining the Active/Passive and Chaos Shards aiming for the next ones. Eventually you will be stuck at a certain level and will take alot of time to level up. During this time you go back to previiuse level tree n unlock substats (hp, block, armor, atk, resist, etc)

Dumb question but how do you USE the shards?

Nah man it's all good. Open your Character menu (helmet icon bottom right), tap the Skills icon (looks like a swirl). Top of the menu click the "Abilities" button. Click the skill you wish to view. You will see the amount of Chaos Shards available in the bottom. Tap a Diamind to see what Passive it unlocks. All passive are broken down in 3 Tiers (1 cost, 2 cost, 3 cost). You are allowed to have 1 of each tier unlocked on each Active skill. There is also a reset button if you wish to get your shards back to redistribute for PvP, Solo, or Tank. Remember a high tier passive does not always mean it's better. Most of the good tank passive are tier 1 or 2. The exception being Taunts STONEWALL passive which is a key mechanic tou a Guardians Tanking.

Got it now. Thank you for your help! Is there a way to reset talents?

Yup, on the bottom of the Skills tab you will see 2 arrows in the shape of a circle. It will let you get back all yoir shards at a Gold Cost (more shards you have the more expensive the cost)

Another thing to consider is the difference between Armor and Accessory Set alerations and stats.

GLADIATOR SET is know for the RESILIENCE stat and is a universal stat that reduces all forms of incomming dmg (pve, pvp, monsters, bosses, raids, physical, and magical) by a %. This is our bread and butter set which comes from Arena.

HEAVY ARMOR. This is how we get the bulk of our ARMOR stat to resist Physical damage and increases our Auto Attack damage.

GUARDING ACCESSORY. These are how we obtain our RESISTANCE stat to reduce all incoming Magical Damage and get the Ability Power stat which increases our Skills Damage but also the amount we gain from REGENERATION.

One thing to take into consideration is the CHEST ARMOR and AMULET ACCESSORY will give a dramatic more base of stats than the other Armors n Accessories. With this in mind you can choose to swap out the GLADIATOR GUARDING AMULET to GLADIATOR FRENZY AMULET. You will gain less RESISTANCE but also give you n Insane more ABILITY POWER to help increase HEALTH REGEN value and makes your Skills far stronger for both PvP and Farming. Since its still part of the GLADIATOR SET you will still gain the RESILIENCE stat for % damage reduction from all sources keeping you as a valued TANK. Another thing to take into consideration is the BALANCE GLADIATOR Accessories. This is a great set as a whole if you want a more bruiser build. As you gain way more ABILITY POWER at the loss of some RESISTENCE.
