We talk about new additions, improvements and fixes in version 1.17.

 

New Guild Raid Boss

Head to the Crimson Arena and take on the Destroyer in a new guild raid!

Each shadow is obsessed with the idea of creating the Ideal Mask, but the understanding of the very essence of this mask differs strikingly from people to people Some consider it an instrument of absolute knowledge. Some sincerely believe that this is the embodiment of universality and a reflection of all the masks of Tenebris.

But there are those whose ideas about the Ideal Mask are much more prosaic. They are known as destroyers and value only two things: honor and wild, unbridled power. The monstrous strength and fury of these shadows is unparalleled. Each defeated enemy, each piece of a worthy mask brings them closer to their cherished goal. And on this path there is no place for the weak.

The Crimson Arena has become the epitome of everything that destroyers value. An ideal place for a deadly battle, where nothing can interfere with the fighters. Only the best of the best are worthy to bear the title of master of the arena, and woe to those who challenge them.

To participate in the battle, you need to learn the guild talent and gather a group of brave heroes, 12 in number.

The Destroyer is a very dangerous enemy, the battle with which will definitely require precise tactical actions from you, so be sure to read the description of the abilities and features of the boss before starting the raid.

As a reward for defeating the new opponent, you are guaranteed to receive guild energy, as well as gold, knowledge and equipment from the Collector's set, with the additional attribute “Might”, Uncommon or Rare quality.

In addition, as a possible reward, you will find piles of trophy equipment and the most valuable - fragments of a new costume made in the style of the raid boss.

You will find the rewards, as usual, in a special chest, picked up from the defeated boss. However, since any member of the guild can take part in the raid, only characters from skill level 21 and above will be able to open the chest. This is done so that game content is opened for your character gradually, without sudden jumps.

We will definitely be waiting for your feedback after you test your lineups for strength in the new guild raid!

P.S. Don't be scared by the fact that the next raid didn't involve more players, because at the moment we are working on a feature that will allow you to fight any guild bosses with completely different raid compositions ;)

 

Guild Restrictions

As part of this update, we've also rethought some aspects of guilds, including:

Now the player will receive a penalty for joining a guild only if they left the previous one while they have the rank of “Newbie”. The penalty is still 24 hours.

Guild members with the Novice rank now have the opportunity to participate in all guild activities without restrictions - complete assignments, participate in wars and go to raids.

In the future, we will continue to make further adjustments to improve the comfort of various interactions with the guild mechanics.

 

Contracts with Gorgors

After experimenting with this mechanic through in-game events and receiving feedback from intrepid adventurers, we decided to convert all Contracts to an event format.

This means that now in the selected locations that the Gorgorushes invite you to, you will always fight with waves of opponents.

Especially for this, we have redesigned the familiar rooms for the needs of the updated mode, but retained the recognizable style.

There are four locations, as in the previous version of the client, but we replaced the Crypt with the previously removed Bandit Lair, since the former was already used in this format as part of the Halloween event in 2022.

Also, as part of this change, we have reworked the mechanics of increasing rewards when reaching progress levels. Now it is more sensitive to the level of monsters, so higher-level Contracts will give out more rewards.

By the way, all previously accumulated Contracts with Gorgors will move you to new locations with the mechanics of waves - it's time to use your reserves and turn them into gold and knowledge!

 

Other changes

Of course, there were other changes and improvements, here are some that we managed to finish work on:

  • Added the ability to “drag and drop” items between the warehouse and inventory interfaces.
  • Autorun can now be used to move to a goal at any location available to the character, including the marks of other players from the chat.
  • The number of "Adventurer's Chest" items placed in one storage or inventory slot has been increased to 30.
  • The “Bomb” item can now be used in guild raids, like other consumables of this type.
  • The items “Pyrotechnics Set” and “Crate of Dynamite” now have different icons.
  • Now the character does not “rotate” in the inventory window when changing equipped items of equipment.
  • Fixed a graphical error with one of the movement points in the location “Amber”

That's all we wanted to tell you today, but definitely not all we've been working on since the last update.

Thank you so much for finally bringing updates that aren't just skins. I would like to make a suggestion that has already been requested a lot.

How difficult would it be for an option to call someone to duel in an open map? A simple mechanic present in several games and that would bring a lot of fun to everyone. Something like clicking on someone and inviting them to a duel, with a timer to start the battle, two players would be PK only between them, timer to finish or if the life bar ends, nobody dies, but whoever reaches x% of life first loses. Giving victory to those who continue with some life.

These markers are missing in many places - this is a bug we are already working on!

It's a great idea for fun and I think it could appear in the game, but definitely not any time soon as the developers have a lot of work to do on more important core aspects and mechanics of the game - wars, raids, new locations and enemies, etc.

А че самый видимый баг исправлять не будут?? Персонаж дрифтует боком будто он под кайфом вместо того чтоб нормально бежать по направлению куда он смотрит, блин, неприятно так играть

that DOES NOT FOLLOW. I am sorry, but that simply is not true, and I hope that you were lied to rather than being part of it. There is NOTHING in programming that would prevent you from having a normal crypt location and an event crypt location at the same time. It is a simple if-else statement. If contract is from event - use this map, else - generate random number and take it modulo 3 or 4 and send a player to one of the normal maps.

The game doesn't care if your event map and one of the normal maps are the same. If anything - it is even better because you are spending fewer resources (only the boss has to be replaced and everything else is just copy and paste)

This is not a memory issue either. We have all our gorgor contracts plus love lunacy love dimension location and in the recent event there was yet another map. It is perfectly possible to have one more gorgor map and you know it because we observed it before.

So why remove the crypt?

The way I see it is that you are planning to reuse the event-crypt on Halloween and if you do just that then players will say something like:

- oh look! They just replaced the boss in one of the locations! They are so lazy...if they are lazy. Maybe they don't have the funds to develop and improve the game any more? Maybe the game will soon be closed? maybe they are too greedy and take all the profit for themselves rather than investing into game?

Maybe this sounds too harsh, and it doesn't have to be worded exactly like this, but the message is clear - it is getting more and more (financially) difficult to introduce new content to the game. That's a bad sign for us players.

If the crypt map is removed, some players will forget it and by the time Halloween happens they will be fascinated to visit this "NEW" gorgor location. But it is not new. I know that in your language there is a proverb that "everything new is a well forgotten old" but it is wrong.

Instead of creating more NEW content you turn off pieces of existing content to turn it on later and pretend that it is new. And this is wrong. I remember crypt map, other veteran players will remember that map and when you reintroduce it on event it will NOT be seen as new map.

To sum it up:

the reasoning behind replacing the crypt map is weak. And a more ominous reason seems more plausible. You can call me a conspiracy theorist, but we are talking about mmorpg. These games don't live long. Players leave to new projects because each year new games with better graphics are made. And the trend of more and more demanding events I mentioned in a different thread also leads to such conclusion.

As a player I want you to know that I don't mind playing vanilla Skylore. I will be here even without events or with old events reused. Your concern is to keep premium players who pay the bills.

I sincerely hope that it was not YOUR decision to temporarily remove the crypt map so that players forget it. Because if we allow that to happen, next we might have bigger parts of the game removed and reintroduced in the same way. Do you want to lose one of the three arenas? How about one of the four dungeons? One of the two battlegrounds perhaps? Daily quests? Daily quests in pvp areas? What will be next?

As you said - the Crypt map is related to Halloween and yes, we plan to use it as part of this event.

We will reuse already released content in events, but if we do this, then in addition to new content, so that there is more of it and the event becomes larger every year, albeit with those parts that you could see earlier.

Don't worry, we don't plan to close the game :)

Это издержки изометрической графики, по-другому персонаж между клетками перемещаться не может
