[2020.12.11] Update 0.33: Changelog

Since the last update we’ve been working on creating new content, but first and foremost made changes and fixes to the already existing content. We’ve tried to compile all directions we’ve worked on here.

Keep in mind that some of the changes you could have already noticed in the game. But we have worked on them some more and ironed out some of the nuances so that we could be sure everything will work as intended.

So, here’s what we’ve improved thanks to your feedback.

Classes

  • Fixed the error due to which the Shadow class did not improve the current mastery after using the mechanics of merging weapons.
  • Glyphs with area damage for Mage, Warden and Shadow classes no longer add damage to the original target of the ability.
  • The damage of the “Burning” status effect now depends on the “Ability power” stat, instead of “Attack power”.
  • The “Blizzard” glyph of Mage’s “Ice Sphere” ability now works according to its description: the effect manifests correctly after finishing off an opponent with the spell.
  • Fixed the error due to which characters lost their attack target after using spells with area effects. 
  • The “Desiccation" glyph of Guardian’s “Colossus Strike” ability  now works according to its description: restores 2% of the character’s health for each defeated opponent.
  • Shadow’s “Poisonous Trail” ability will now always trigger upon detecting a poisoned enemy nearby
  • The “No Retreat” glyph of Warden’s “Living Armor” ability now gives additional defence for the entire duration of the ability, including the additional time from the "Cohesion" glyph’s effect.
  • The "Toughness" glyph of Guardian's "Living Armor" ability is also extended by the effect of the "Cohesion" glyph.
  • Mage’s "Teleportation" ability now works without delay: this should rule out the cases of the character receiving negative effects during the transition.
  • The "Shadowmaster" glyph of the Shadow’s "Invisibility" ability now only works on group members rather than all friendly players.

Modes

  • Fixed the error that restricted the ability of using group chat in the “Dungeon” game mode.
  • Fixed a number of errors connected to the incorrect behaviour and aggression radius of monsters in the “Dungeon” mode.
  • Fixed the error connected to calculating rating in the “Arena” mode in case of an enemy character deserting from the battle. Now players cannot lose rating for a victory.
  • Matchmaking in the “Dungeon” game mode will only match players with no more than 3 levels of discrepancy.
  • Matchmaking for all game modes now cancels if the player or one of the group members leaves the game or the character disappears from the location.

Dynamic areas

  • Fixed the errors that caused periodic changing of the character level in a dynamic area.
  • Changing the health of the character upon entering a dynamic area will now happen proportionally and does not appear as receiving damage.
  • Fixed the error connected to the incorrect display of time until refreshing the next Dynamic area.

Interface

We have reworked the interface of inspecting characters to make it more useful and convenient. Thus, for example, in the inspect window there is now a new button that shows the menu of possible interactions with the inspected character.

Additionally, inspecting characteristics has become more convenient as well: while in an area with dynamic leveling, upon inspecting a character you can see not only their current attributes, but the values lowered by the territory as well. For that you need to press on the level icon.

Music

First of all, we have fixed the error due to which sounds of attacks were not turned off upon turning off sounds in the settings — now you can play in complete silence.

But for those that do not turn off sounds in Skylore there are wonderful news! We have done a great amount of work on sounds and music in the world:

  • Remade sounds in all main locations, filling them with new rich sounds and audial events.
  • Created sounds for many effects on all states of dynamic areas.
  • Both “Dungeon” mode locations now also have their own sound.
  • When in the cities Echo and Amber you will be able to hear unique thematic musical compositions.
  • Each weapon type now sounds absolutely differently!

We advise trying out these novelties in headphones, because we’ve changed the principle of building surround sound — Arinar will sound completely different now!

Other

  • Fixed the error that caused an infinite cycle of teleportations when moving between locations using auto-run.
  • Fixed a number of errors that led to characters getting stuck in locations without the opportunity to come back.
  • Fixed the error due to which the position of characters from the group was displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed the error in the formula of calculating item level due to which different types of equipment gave the same amount of improvement points.
  • The amount of gold required to reset Chaos shards now depends on the current level of the character and does not change in different locations.
  • Upon opening the Activity Center you will always automatically see the current season’s progress, scrolling will work without the need of restarting the game
  • iOS users will now receive all push notifications.

These are all of the main changes that we wanted to tell you about. We hope that with them the gameplay will become more comfortable and the battles — more balanced.
