We will tell you about the content of the first stage of guilds, as well as about important changes in the game related to the launch of this mechanic.

Guilds

We have already revealed to you the concept of guilds in Skylore in detail in one of our articles, so now we will put more emphasis on the mechanics included in the first stage, namely Creation, Joining and Structure.

Guild creation

Any character that has reached level 8 can create a guild. To do this, you will need to pay a one-time registration fee in the amount of 30,000 gold coins and specify the name of the guild:

• The name of your team can include from 3 to 20 characters of the Latin alphabet.
• The first character must be uppercase, all the rest - lowercase.
• You have the option to put one space and specify the title as two words, in which case each can start with a capital letter.

Be careful! You cannot change the name of a guild after its creation, however, such an opportunity may appear in the future. We can also change the spelling rules for guild names based on your feedback :)

Do not forget that your guild name must not contain anything that breaks the rules of communication in Skylore. Otherwise, we reserve the right to rename or disband the guild and apply restrictions to its creator.

Other than the name, you are to specify:

• Description: Here you can specify particularly important information about the team, for example, tell what content your guild is aimed at.
• Recruitment type: closed entry by invitation only, or open - entry by application.
• Minimum level: the character level required to join the guild when the recruitment is open.

The description and some other settings can be changed after the creation of the guild.

Joining a guild

To join a guild, your character must be level 3 or higher.

You can join a guild by receiving and accepting an invitation, or by submitting an application on your own, if open recruitment is enabled in the guild, there are free places and you match the level requirement.

You can see the groups that are looking for new companions using the guild search mechanic - an interface that displays guilds with open recruitment, arranged in descending order of the sum of the total mastery of its members.

There are also the information specified by the creator of the guild and the functionality of sending an application to the community you are interested in.

Taking into account the current number of players, as well as the size of the currently available locations, we decided that the optimal solution for the first stage would be to limit the number of participants in guilds to 10 players. After the release of the content of the next stages, you can increase the maximum by developing the guild.

Guild structure

Within the team, you will have the opportunity to build your own hierarchy: for this we have developed a system of four ranks, each of which has a certain set of privileges and opportunities for guild management.

• Leader - can lower and increase the rank of other members of the guild, change its settings, accept and exclude players, as well as communicate in the guild chat.
• Assistant - a confidant of the leader who has equal rights with them.
• Veteran - a trusted ally who can admit and expel players, as well as chat in the guild.
• Member - a beginner or an ordinary member of the guild who has access only to the guild chat.

We decided not to limit you in building the guild management structure, therefore, with the exception of the chapter, there can be any ratio of heroes with different ranks.

In the future, some of its members will have new management capabilities, which we will talk about later ;)

Guilds in the open world

In this block, we have collected information that will help you find answers to frequently asked questions about the interaction of guilds with other game mechanics.

• Members of the same guild are always friendly and cannot fight each other, even if they have activated their combat status at the locations of the Adamant Grotto.
• Guild membership is always prioritized above temporary groups, so if you heal or buff members of your guild attacking your groupmates you will be excluded from this group automatically.
• If a character with an active peaceful status attacks your guildmate, then you can come to your companion-in-arms' rescue and join the battle being in any status.
• When entering a location, guild members join one channel, if there are free places in it.

Character rename

We know that some groups began to form long before this update, and their members indicated their belonging to a particular guild in the characters’ nicknames. That is why we promised to give all players the opportunity to change their nickname. It's time to keep the promise!

All characters created before the reboot will receive a special item in their mail - “Character Name Change Scroll”. Using it will allow you to change your character's name.

Approach this action wisely, because now you can only use this item once. You will be able to get more of these scrolls in the future.

Also note that the new nickname must comply with the updated rules.

New nickname rules

We’ve updated the rules for character nicknames and gathered the main ones in this list:

• The required name length is 5-15 characters.
• Only symbols of the Latin alphabet are allowed.
• The first letter in the name is always uppercase, and all subsequent ones are lowercase. If you enter the nickname in a different way, it will be corrected automatically.
• You can use a space in the name, but only once. It cannot be the first or last character. In addition, it is allowed to use an uppercase letter after the space, which will not automatically be converted to lowercase.
• It is forbidden to use 3 identical symbols in a row.

If your nickname does not comply with the new rules, and you will not use the rename scroll, then it is likely that in one of the next updates you will not be able to access the character until you rename them.
