[2021.08.25] Splitting the world chat by region

Let’s talk about a new mechanic that makes communication in the world chat much more convenient and enjoyable.

 

How it works?

We are forming regions with a list of countries, players from which will see messages only from players from the same region in the world chat.

To begin with we create one region — the CIS, which will include all players from Russian-speaking countries. In the future, we will open other regions as well, but for now, the world chat will be common for heroes from other countries.

Please note: the region is assigned to your account automatically - at the time of its creation based on your IP address. At the same time, you cannot change the region on your own, to do so you need to contact us.

If you come across a large number of messages in a foreign language in the world chat after this update, and this fact brings inconvenience to you, please contact our support service via [email protected].

 

What else?

In addition to the changes in the world chat, the tool will also help with the guild search function — on this tab you will see recommended guilds only from your region.

In the future, we will also refine the region selection tool in the guild settings, but we will tell you about this later.

Other interactions will remain unchanged. You will also be able to:

• Invite players from other regions to a group or guild and add them to your friends list.
• Communicate with players from all over the world in personal messages, location channels, as well as in group and guild chats.
• Participate in automatic matchmaking for the Arena, Dungeon and Battlefield with players from all over the world.

Please note that now you will not be able to effectively and quickly find a team to go to the Dungeon or to the Arena through the world chat. Here, more than ever, the functionality for searching for groups that we have already developed earlier will come in handy!

In the future, we will continue to work on improving it: in particular, we will simplify access to this incredibly useful tool.
