Quest for Truth

When the gods abandoned the world after the War of the Spear, some followers of Harad, the god of the sun and fire, sought to bring him back. They adorned themselves with gold, the metal of the sun, donned robes of radiant white, and wore circlets fashioned after the sun's rays.

At dawn, the faithful ascended lofty terraces and raised polished disks toward the heavens, hoping to multiply Harad's light upon the earth. But over time, worship gave way to inquiry. Was the sun divine in its own right, or did it have some other origin? Did the sun revolve around Arinar, or was it Arinar that revolved around the sun?

From these questions emerged the first philosophers of Altgard. If every part of the Spear were replaced, piece by piece, would it still be the same Spear? Could the White Wanderer create a stone so heavy that even he could not lift it? Their debates became part of Altgard's history, while the memory of that era lives on in the elegant attire it left behind.
