Here we'll talk in detail about the novelties and changes in the new version of the client 1.4.

 

Contracts with Gorgors

The overall task of the player has remained unchanged - it is still the destruction of monsters in the selected location to receive a reward, but with some additions:

  • Time to fight monsters is limited - after the end of the timer, the contract is considered fulfilled, and the character returns to the open world location.
  • Monsters in the selected location are weaker than those that were before, but they respawn, have an increased radius of aggression and tend to attack the hero as soon as they see him.
  • The rewards that players receive for killing monsters do not immediately go into the inventory, but are added to the chest of Gorgors. Collected valuables can be picked up only after the end of the timer.

  • The goal of the player is not only to fight monsters, but also to survive, because when the character dies, they lose all the collected treasures. At the same time, there is no opportunity to resurrect at the location, even for diamonds.
  • For defeating monsters, players receive points to fill the progress bar. The number of points depends on the strength of the monster. The more times the progress bar is filled, the more gold and knowledge you will receive for completing the contract.
  • Sometimes the leader is reborn at the location - the most powerful monster, for defeating which you can get a large number of points and a valuable reward. This enemy is displayed on the map and compass, and their appearance is accompanied by a notification on the screen.

  • In Contracts of Uncommon quality, monster encounters will be harder and the rewards will be higher.

Now a word about the content that requires the participation of several players, and specifically, the whole guild. The way to the Spider Forest is open, and the Spider Queen is ready to fight the intruders!

Spiders have never been the most charming creatures, let alone the huge multi-legged monsters of Archeon. However, one spider had the opportunity to find a truly fatal beauty.

The future queen of spiders was the favorite of the rebellious demonologist, loved her master, who one day did not return. Driven by a desire to know his fate, the little spider went on a quest, which led her to the forest near the adamant caves.

Day after day, the streams of Knowledge penetrated the body of the spider, eventually turning it into a deadly beautiful queen of arachnids. She did not forget her goal and learned about the fate of the owner, vowing to take revenge on the damned Amberians.

To participate in the battle, you need to study the talent and gather a group of brave heroes of 12 characters.

You can fight the Spider Queen in two difficulties - normal and hard. In order to unlock the hard difficulty boss fight, you will need to defeat the normal version 10 times.

For the victory, each participant will receive a personal reward in the form of a container with gold, knowledge, items of equipment, and, probably, resources for its development. For the guild, a large amount of the “Energy” resource is provided, which is necessary for studying talents and activating buffs.

In addition, there is also a chance to receive an additional reward - items of a completely new type! And now more about that.

 

Customization

In a recent update, we introduced the weightlessness property to some items, which allows them not to take up space in the inventory. Now we have decided to expand the list of such items by adding a completely new type of loot to them - fragments!

The fragments themselves do not provide any bonuses, however, if you collect enough of them, the fusion function will become available to you, which will allow you to get a unique costume in the likeness of one of the bosses!

At the moment, three costumes can be obtained in this way: two from fragments from defeating raid bosses, and one from fragments that can be obtained from the battle with the Core Gnawer.

Each of the costumes has its own fragments. In raid encounters, these items will appear in personal loot chests with a certain probability, with the chance of getting and the number of fragments depending on the difficulty of the raid.

Fragments for the Core Gnawer Outfit will drop in the Acid-Etched Chest, which can be obtained in addition to the regular boss fight reward, once every 24 hours. In order to open the treasure chest, it must first be cleared, like other chests from the Adamantine Caves.
In the future, we will continue to develop this mechanic so that you can get even more unique costumes through the game.

We have also introduced another feature for some of the costumes so that they can fit perfectly on your figure and go with the chosen hairstyle. The outfits from this list can have hide the helmet hidden:

  • Sunsteel Armor
  • Flame Devourer Costume
  • Stylish Costume
  • Royal Costume
  • Great Mother Armor

For other costumes, this function is inappropriate, as it will destroy the complete image. However, in the future, outfits with the ability to hide a helmet will definitely become more.

Everything should be clear about the cosutumes! But, you see, they won’t help you in battle, so let’s talk about the combat equipment of the characters.

 

Tempened Equipment

Every adventurer in Archeon knows that it is much easier to succeed in any battle if you use equipment with secondary stats that suit the conditions of battle.

So, for example, battles with ordinary monsters will be much easier with a high “Composure” indicator, the battle with bosses will be facilitated by “Might”, and in the confrontation between players, “Resilience” will certainly be needed.

In the new version of the client, we have added even more variety to the equipment system with the help of a new mechanic - Hardened equipment.

What is Tempened equipment?

Tempened equipment is the items you already know, but with increased mastery, as well as primary and secondary stats.

Hardened items can be one of three stages of hardening - the higher it is, the higher the stats and mastery that the item gives.

You can determine the presence of the “Hardened” property and the level of this property by the background of the item icon, as well as by the line in the information about the item of equipment.

With hardened items, you can carry out any operation in the forge - strengthen, increase the level or combine to increase the quality. For the latter process, even an untempered copy of the item or a stock of alchemy stones will do.

How to get Tempened equipment?

Everything is simple! Participate in certain activities to receive a specific type of tempered gear as a possible reward:

  • PvE equipment with the “Composure” bonus — when completing the updated Contracts with Gorgors.
  • PvE equipment with the “Might” bonus can be found in chests from Dungeons.
  • PvP equipment with the "Resilience" bonus - in chests for progress in some events on the Battlefield.

You cannot turn a normal item into a hardened item or increase the stage of hardening.

It is likely that in the future we will increase the number of activities in which you can get hardened items, or change how you get such equipment.

 

Inventory

As you can see from the screenshots from the previous changeslog items, we have updated the inventory.

Now all the contents of your backpack will be divided into 4 tabs:

  1. All items
  2. Only those items that can be put on the character - equipment and costumes.
  3. Only those items that can be used are all kinds of consumables.
  4. Other items - resources for developing equipment, quest items and costume parts.

This is not the final version: we will continue to work on the inventory.

However, the current changes will help you use your property much more conveniently.

 

Dynamic Areas

In addition to exciting adventures and battles, brave heroes often go about their daily tasks, helping the inhabitants of Archeon with care and solving problems in the Dynamic Areas.

In order for you to have more time and energy for great deeds and personal deeds, we decided to reduce the number of required actions in all tasks of Dynamic Areas with interactivity from 10 to 5.

In addition, by completing daily tasks in the Holy Grove location, you can try out another novelty - co-op interactivity. When performing an action, players can join you to complete it together and gain progress for the quest.

If the novelty proves to be good, we will definitely implement it in other Dynamic Areas.

We also changed the duration of some interactivity in the Holy Grove, making them instant.

 

Other novelties, changes and improvements

And of course, there were some small, but no less important, fixes and changes in mechanics, interfaces and gameplay. Here is the main list:

  • The "Purse" section is displayed in all tabs of inventory, guild, modes and other places.
  • Items that do not take up space in the inventory display a special icon. Also, information about Weightlessness has been added to the description.
  • The "Study equipment" button is no longer displayed in another character's inspection menu.
  • Fixed a bug related to the inability to change the task in the Activity Center.
  • The reward for defeating the world boss no longer stays on the ground for more than 24 hours.
  • Fixed a number of bugs related to the operation of chat tabs and the display of messages, including within game modes.
  • Alchemist's "Unstable Mixture" ability no longer costs a charge on "Restless Spirit" in the "Tower Defense" arena.
  • The "Fury" effect from the "Multishot" ability is now applied only to the spirit, and not to another summoned creature or trap.
  • The use of mass abilities is no longer canceled when the target creature dies.
  • Fixed a bug due to which it was not possible to pick up items when the bag was full, even if the stack with them allows you to put them in the inventory.
  • The window with a reward for which there is no place in the inventory will be closed after the player is notified that the bag is full, there is no need to restart the game.
  • Fixed the description of the “Portable Christmas Tree” consumable item.
  • The "Absolute Zero" debuff is now displayed with a red border instead of green.
  • The effect of "Aura of Silence" applies "Silence" to the hero for 3 seconds instead of 5.
  • Fixed the maximum possible skill at character level 20.
  • Automatic push notifications are no longer sent during maintenance.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed using Guild buffs in the Arena.
