In one of the previous articles, we have already revealed to you the concept of the new Adamantine grotto - The general concept of the implementation has not changed, but there are many details and mechanics that should be discussed in more detail, and we are happy to do so! New locations The Adamantine Grotto that is familiar to you, has not disappeared: you can freely run through the locations you already know, but now this will require at least character level 15. However, you will be able to get acquainted with the mechanics of PvPvE much earlier, namely from level 8. And all because we added two more huge locations, the entrances to which are located in the Adamantine Caves. Locations differ not only visually, but also in the level of monsters inside: Crystal Grove - with level 8-9 monsters Kragg Outskirts - with level 10-14 monsters Adamantine Grotto - with level 15-20 monsters Each of these locations has two floors. The first has a restriction on the minimum entry level and effective level. The second - with separate settings for the effective level and the level of monsters. We remind you that the effective level mechanic reduces the level of the character to the level set at the location, at the same time reducing their characteristics. Also, it should be noted that the presence of a character in PvPvE locations imposes some restrictions on them, namely prohibits: Queueing up in the Arena, Battlefield or Dungeon, as well as entering the location with an active queue in the listed modes. Note! You can fight bosses within 30 minutes after defeating them, but you can get a reward for killing each one only once every 24 hours. This timer is personal to each of the heroes and starts counting down after you receive the reward. And yes, you do not need to memorize or write down this time - everything can be seen on the map! New marks on the map The map in the locations of the Adamant Caves has become even more informative! For example, now on it you can track the possibility of receiving a reward for defeating a world boss. If the reward cannot be received now, then you will see a timer until a new opportunity. Also, we remind you that you can exit PvPvE locations and return to the Adamant Caves through one of several exits. However, not all of them will be available at the same time. You can also find out which of the outputs are available at the moment, as well as the time during which you can use them, on the location map. Important! Leaving a location or lower floor is a long interactivity that gets confused by taking damage. Be attentive and extremely careful! Now, let's talk about rewards and new mechanics to get you rich! Madness-Touched Items As we said earlier, in PvPvE locations, players will not receive gold and knowledge for killing monsters. The loot for defeating creatures will be new items - treasures and relics. They are chests with useful contents: knowledge, gold, equipment, alchemical stones and piles, adamant crystals and spheres of protection. In short - inside you will find everything for enhancing your equipment! The quantity and quality of the contents of the chests depends on their level and rarity. The level of the treasure or relic will be equal to the level of the defeated monster, and the rarity is determined depending on its strength: Common — from monsters with the power of “average” or “strong” Uncommon — from alphas and also from monsters with the power of “strong” Epic — from world bosses. But there is a problem, the caves, to which no ray of sunlight penetrates, are soaked through with the corruption of insanity, which has affected not only the minds of creatures, but also the hidden valuables. Before you can get the contents of a treasure or relic, you need to cleanse it from corruption. And with this, almost free of charge, Professor Styx is ready to help you, who has set up his field laboratory in the Adamant Caves, not far from the entrances to PvPvE locations. To remove the corruption, you will need to get a new currency. You can get it for hunting monsters, but the main way to get it is by completing daily quests in PvPvE locations. These are mainly PvE tasks, but there are some that will require you to fight other players. Note! You will be able to complete daily tasks only in those locations that correspond to the level of your character. By the way, by defeating other players in PvP, you can not only complete the daily task, but also take away the relics and treasures they have earned. PvP aspect of the location We have not forgotten that the main feature of PvPvE locations was the possibility of free PvP. And from this you will be able to reap benefits for yourself if you sensibly assess your strength and do not get involved in a surely lost battle. The fact is that when a character dies, they lose all items infected with madness! What happens to them next depends on the active PvP status at the time of death. If a peaceful character was defeated, then the loot will be equally divided into three parts: General loot that any player can take. Personal loot is a part of items that a defeated player can pick up if they return to the place of their death within 20 minutes. Lost loot. When a character with an active combat status dies, ⅔ of the loot will be general, and the rest will be lost. Important clarification! Heroes whose level is higher than the effective location level cannot change their PvP status to combat and attack a character if they're in a peaceful status. However, remember that everyone, without exception, can attack players with an active combat status in the location! Another mechanic that is designed to protect peaceful players and make life more difficult for PvP enjoyers is the "Killer's Mark" effect. After killing a peaceful hero, players with an active combat status will receive a debuff, the effect of which will not allow using the exits from the location or transitions to another tier for two minutes, as well as changing their combat status. Be careful and extremely collected, because this time may be enough to complete the plan of revenge. Not to mention that you will become a target for any player, because no one will receive negative effects for killing you. Please note: when you kill a peaceful character again, the effect is not prolonged, but refreshed, so its duration cannot exceed two minutes. In addition, to create healthy competition in PvP battles in the PvPvE territories of the Adamant Caves locations, we introduced another restriction: no more than 8 representatives of one guild can be on the location channel. We understand that you are expecting more massive fights and we will definitely give you such an opportunity, but within the framework of other territories and mechanics. We hope that such changes will help make the fights more interesting! Other changes and additions Altars with alphas We have changed their mechanics. Now, after summoning and defeating the leader, the altar will take some time to recover. The indicator of the time until the end of the process will be the same runes, but in a different color. In addition, the number of monsters that must be defeated to summon the leader now depends on their level: the higher it is, the more monsters need to be killed to fill the progress and summon an elite monster. New status "Exhausted" Now, when reviving for diamonds in PvPvE locations, the character's health will be restored not instantly, but gradually. During this time, they will be under the effect of "Exhausted", which will prevent him from: moving attacking using abilities using consumables or other usable items However, also during the duration of the effect, the character gains immunity to all other effects. After half of your health is restored, you can pick up your personal loot and continue the battle. Invisibility We have made significant changes to the work of abilities and items that allow characters to become invisible. The disguise can now be revealed. Once every 4 seconds, with a certain probability, a character or monster can detect an invisible character in a certain area around him. For characters, this area is fixed - 6 meters, and for monsters it can be different, depending on their strength. Please note: detection does not remove invisibility from the character, but makes them visible to everyone around him, and also makes it possible to choose them as a target for an attack or ability. Taking any damage dispels the invisibility effect. If, after 4 seconds, the character has not taken damage, they become invisible again, and then the detection check is repeated. At the same time, remember that for each monster or hero, the probability of detection is triggered separately, so sneaking up on a cluster of monsters or players unnoticed is a rather difficult task. In addition, at PvPvE locations for levels 10-14, you can notice new objects - all-seeing gargoyles. These creatures also reveal the invisibility of nearby heroes, without removing the effect from the character, but with a 100% chance. So far, we have added them for testing only in two locations, but in the future we will be able to use them in other places where the advantage of stealth plays a very important role. Premium services expansion Among the goods of the day, you can now find adamantine crystals, which will help you change the secondary characteristics of equipment. In addition, we have expanded the general assortment of goods, adding free reputation, the currency for clearing chests from corruption of madness, as well as a special item that will allow you to keep a small part of treasures and relics in your inventory after the death of the character. We haven't forgotten about another long-awaited item - the character renaming scroll. It has also been added to the list of premium items and will allow you to change your nickname at any time. However, remember that your new nickname must comply with the rules of communication in the community. Otherwise, we reserve the right not only to change it, but also to restrict access to the character. Also, please note that the requirements for certain symbols and their number for a nickname are not final and may change in future updates, so if you cannot change the nickname to your desired one, if it does not contradict the rules of communication, do not hurry to come up with a new one. *** That's all we would like to tell you today.   6. 0.41 Update: Guild March We'll tell you about the possibilities for the development of Guilds and other innovations in the update Guild Development Seasoned warriors and brave adventurers in Archeon are already familiar with the character's talent system. Within the framework of this mechanic, heroes can learn new abilities, receive chaos particles and pleasant bonuses to characteristics. In addition to increasing combat effectiveness, the learned talents give the character mastery to increase the level. At the same time, with each level achieved, access to new talents opens up. This system also works with Guilds, but with its own specifics. Let's figure it out! Guild levels Guild level is a parameter indicating the level of development of the guild. It grows depending on the number of accumulated experience points that can be obtained for studying the talents of the guild. The more talents are studied, the higher the level is, and the more opportunities and new talents the guild can get. Guild talents Talents allow players to develop their guild and receive powerful PvE and PvP bonuses, as well as open up access to new opportunities. Talents can be of three types: Guild abilities — talents, the study of which opens access to the use of a bonus with an initial value. Guild abilities enhancements — talents that enhance the power of the learned guild ability, and there can be several of them for each ability. Guild сapabilities expansions — talents that develop some parameter of the guild and open access to new functionality and guild content. Any member of the guild can get acquainted with the entire list of talents, for this you need to go to the appropriate section of the guild menu. To study the talent, it will take a certain amount of time and a new resource - Energy. The time to study talents can be reduced by paying a certain amount of Knowledge, if the corresponding talent is studied. We will talk about the methods of obtaining Energy a little later. Now let's take a closer look at the work of another important mechanic, without which the study of guild abilities does not make sense, and this is Guild Empowerment. Guild Empowerment Learned Guild Abilities do not give passive bonuses to the members of the guild, but can be used in the Guild Empowerment, or, in other words — Guild Buff. This mechanic is similar to a construction set: you need to choose the necessary enhancements from the learned talents, fill the cells with them and activate the ability. After that, all current members will receive the selected bonuses for 12 hours. Learned talents can increase offensive or defensive abilities, as well as make character development easier. Therefore, it is worth choosing those bonuses that will help your comrades in arms in the upcoming activities. You can change the set of effects without waiting for the current Buff to expire, but to do this, you must turn it off and activate it again. Activating the Guild Empowerment requires a certain amount of Energy, which is irretrievably spent. Keep in mind! Guild Empowerment only affects its current members. If you join the guild after activating the enhancement or leave it, then the bonuses will not work on you. Initially, players will have access to only 2 cells for Guild Empowerment, and access to the subsequent ones will open after studying the corresponding talents. In addition, even if the slots are open, you can only use them if the guild has enough reputation. So, to learn talents and activate a guild buff, energy is needed, and the number of ability slots simultaneously available for a guild buff depends on the reputation of the participants. Reputation Reputation is a measure of activity of of an individual member of the guild as well as all its members. There are three types of Reputation: Personal reputation is an indicator of the activity of a certain player in the guild. This personal value is calculated for each guild separately. It can be obtained for participation in guild activities and assistance in the development of the guild. Free reputation is given to the player when leaving the guild. Its amount will be half of the amount of accumulated Personal Reputation. Free reputation will double the points of Personal reputation received in another guild from all sources and decrease by the amount of the increase. Guild reputation is the sum of the Personal reputation of all guild members. The number of available slots for Empowerments depends on it. Once a week, a 20% of the personal reputation of each of the guild members is converted into Guild Energy: for every 10 units of reputation, the guild will receive 1 unit of energy. Energy Energy is a special resource that is used to learn talents and activate the guild buff. Different talents and buffs, depending on the number of guild abilities, require different amounts of energy. In addition to converting reputation, energy can also be obtained in exchange for knowledge, if the corresponding guild talent is studied. This opportunity will be once a day for all current members of the guild with the rank of "Member" and above. However, there is another way that will allow you to immediately get both energy and reputation - participation in guild activities. In this update, players will have access to the first of them - Assignments. Assignments The mechanics of assignments are similar to the Activity Center you already know. Guild members receive small tasks: for example, to complete several battles in the Arena or go through a couple of Dungeons. The difference is that the activity will be shared for the entire guild, and each participant will have their own part of the assignment. Full completion of the task will require the participation of all members of the guild. After completing your part of the assignment, you will receive a small personal reward, a certain amount of reputation points, and also fill the general scale for completing the assignment on alongside with other members of the guild. After the end of the time allotted for the assignment, a new one will become available to you, and the filled scale is converted into energy. Therefore, the more players manage to complete the assignments, the more energy the guild will receive. After that, authorized members will be able to use the accumulated energy in order to develop and strengthen the guild, as far as the current level and reputation indicator will allow. Initially, only one assignment will be available at a time, and the opening of additional ones takes place after studying the corresponding guild talent. Things to keep in mind: The larger the maximum count of members in the guild, the more energy you can get for completing the assignment. Each of the assignments within the guild has its own timer. The order timer starts at the moment when the cell is opened. Players cannot complete assignments that were issued prior to joining the guild. In the future, we plan to introduce other guild activities, for participation in which players will be able to gain reputation and energy. New guild rank The introduction of new mechanics into the guild system could not avoid affecting the hierarchy and permissions of guild ranks. Now all players who agree to join the guild receive a new rank - “Novice”. This rank remains with the new recruit for the first 48 hours of being in the guild and cannot be changed. After the expiration of the time, the player automatically receives the rank of "Participant". Please note that you can only demote a player to the rank of “Participant”, only recruits get the “Novice” rank. In addition, now you can also find out the exact number of vigor points in the menu with basic information about the character, which is called up by clicking on the level icon. And now great news for those who cannot devote a lot of time to Skylore every day, but do not want to lag behind their friends or other travelers in the race of progress and character development. All characters who have been offline for 16 hours or more will receive a buff - “Rested” upon entering the game. This effect will increase the rewards received for hunting monsters over a period of time. In the future, we will be able to use this mechanic to trigger special events during which all players will receive additional farm rewards at a specific location or time. Report System We really appreciate the players who keep the chats clean and send us reports of flagrant violations of the rules of communication in Skylore, because we want to create a warm and lamp atmosphere within our community. Now, to maintain order, you do not need to send screenshots with obscene words to our mail or administrators, you just need to use the "Report" function in the context menu that is called when you click on a message in the chat. After that, the complaint will automatically be sent to the moderator. Please do not abuse this feature! Players who frequently send complaints about harmless messages may be deprived of the opportunity to fully use this system. We sincerely hope that situations for using this tool will be extremely rare. Changes to the “Battle Royale” We are closely monitoring your feedback, including messages about the Battlefield. And we have already started working on several ideas that will minimize the possibility of match-fixing in the Royal Battle, namely: hiding nicknames, guild names and costumes on hostile characters, etc. However, in preparation for this update, we threw the bulk of the effort into the highly anticipated guild content, so we were unable to make these important changes now. But we will definitely not forget to introduce them in one of the next updates! However, some improvements are still included in the current version of the client, namely: Added a booster pickup animation so you can understand who picked it up. Sealed Items In the updated version of the Adamantine Grotto, players will not receive gold and knowledge for killing monsters. But why then fight other players? The answer is simple: for the opportunity to obtain Sealed items! Sealed items are chests with useful content: knowledge, gold, equipment, etc. And they are “Sealed” because they cannot be simply opened after receiving - this requires a whole ritual! It will have to be performed strictly outside the Adamantine Grotto with the help of an expert in such items, who has the necessary knowledge to lift the seal. The conditions for receiving the coveted award are as usual: Sealed items will drop from common monsters, leaders and world bosses of the Adamantine Grotto; The stronger the monster, the higher the chance of getting Sealed items for defeating it; The quantity and quality of the content will depend on the level of the item, which, in turn, depends on the level of the slain monster. But there are very important features: The level of monsters depends on the level and location you choose. Sealed items can be lost if your hero dies in the Grotto. Therefore, let's figure out how the locations of the new Grotto and the nuances of battles with other players will be arranged: this will allow you to organize an adventure to your liking - whether it for a comfortable outing or an exciting challenge. With a corresponding award, of course ;) New location structure The entrance to the Adamantium Grotto will still be located in the Adamantium Caves. However, you have to choose one of the portals, which will take you to a location with monsters of a certain range of levels. Each of these locations has two levels. The first will have a restriction on the minimum entry level and effective level. The second - with separate settings for the effective level and the level of monsters. Also, it is on the second level of each of the locations that the world boss will be located. For the current high-level characters, it will be the antagonist you already know - Decayra, and we will tell about others later ;) Please note that you will not be able to move between locations - only between the levels of the location that you have chosen. Remember that the effective level mechanic reduces the level of the character to the level set at the location, at the same time reducing their stats. This helps to keep the content up to date and protect low-level characters from the attack of developed heroes. So, after going through one of the portals, you find yourself in the new Adamantium Grotto. And then a surprise awaits you: the entrances and exits to the location are in different places. Now you will not be able to just look into the Grotto and hastily leave when danger is detected. And one more thing: when entering a location, a character appears at one of the random points that are not visible to players and are not marked on the map. If members of the group enter the location, then they will all appear in the same place. You can return to the Adamantium Caves through one of several exits. However, not all of them will be available at the same time. The exits will be located at specific locations marked on the map. The time during which you can use this exit will also be indicated there. In addition to the entrances and exits, at the locations of the first tier there will be transitions to the second - these passages are always active and located in certain places. Exit and entry for the locations of the second tier is carried out according to the same rules. New rules for PvP status To create a comfortable and fair environment in the Grotto, we will update the rules for the action of peaceful and combat statuses: If at the moment of death of your character the peaceful status was active, then some of the sealed items you lost may fall out in the form of personal loot, which only you can pick up when you return to the place of battle. Those who decide to make robbery their trade will have a hard time! After killing a peaceful hero, players with an active combat status will receive a temporary negative effect, the effect of which will not allow using the exit from the location or transition to another tier, and will also display the location of your character to other heroes nearby. Heroes with any status, being at the location of the Adamantine Grotto, will not be able to queue up into the Arena or the Dungeon, as well as use Waypoints. The current queue at the time of entry will be automatically reset, and the nearest waypoint, which is also the place of resurrection of the characters, is located in the Adamantine Caves. If you leave the game while in the Adamantine Grotto, your character will not disappear from the location immediately, but only after a while, which they will spend standing still, surrounded by monsters, players and other dangers. The death of the hero will result in the loss of some of the Sealed Items and teleport him to the Adamantine Caverns. So: we have entered, the Sealed Items have been obtained, what's next? Receiving a reward from Sealed Items Farming Sealed Items is only half the trouble. While in the Adamantine Grotto, you cannot use them to receive a reward. Any armour for everyone Now items of equipment, except for weapons, are no longer tied to the character class and can be used by any hero either in the form of complete sets or in separate parts. What is this for? To remind you, items of armor of rare (blue) quality, in addition to the attributes of the set, receive an additional one, which can be: Health. Dodge. Class attribute. Armor penetration — for characters specializing in dealing physical damage. Resist reduction — for characters specializing in dealing magical damage. Abilities recharge. This is true for items of equipment of all types of armor, however, when dropped, some characteristics on different items will have a significantly higher value. For example, the bonus to the "Health" characteristic on heavy armor will give much more health points than the same bonus on the subject of medium and light equipment. This will allow you to turn the tide of the battle in a seemingly hopeless situation. Illusions, spirits, and other summons no longer damage towers, but remain useful in combat, seeking to attack nearby enemies. The time for exiting the combat state at the location has been reduced to 5 seconds. This will open up the ability for the heroes to retreat and quickly regroup, gaining access to increased regeneration, equipment changes and consumables replacement in the quick access slots. The resurrection time of characters has been increased to 15 seconds. It allows heroes to participate in battles with opponents with a small spread in skill level, as well as receive useful instant rewards. During testing, we painstakingly collected statistics on character development and battles in the Arena. Based on it, we decided to add more stages with rewards for each league, as well as change the formula for calculating points for winning and losing in fights. Thanks to these changes, the heat of battles will noticeably increase, and the heroes will be able to get more valuable treasures! And yes, we know that you are looking forward to the introduction of the League of Titans, but to open it we need to finalize several new mechanics. Talent changes We carried out work in the field of balance and bug fixes in the characters' talents, namely: Fixed a bug due to which talents with the "Health" characteristic gave the wrong bonus values - now each talent gives less bonus, but their number has increased. There are fewer talents with different characteristics, but now each talent gives more bonus. Already learned talents of players will be replaced, you will not need to learn them again! Such changes are intended to balance the growth of the "Health" attribute, as well as to increase the visibility of the effect of learning the talents of attacking and defensive characteristics. Abilities and glyphs We’ve also worked on some changes and fixes for performance of glyphs and character abilities. Here are the main ones: The Sorcerer class's Destruction and Energy Translocation abilities now affect the area, and the player chooses where the illusions will "explode".
