New Starter

Hey, so I’ve been playing roughly 2 days now on and off, I’ve managed to hit level 8, it’s now starting to get hard to gain more mastery, I try to join dungeons but 99% of the time the party chooses to Flee just as the dungeon is starting, why are people doing this? It’s getting pretty tough now at level 8, even the quests are getting hard, I’m not new to MMOs so I get I need to farm etc but the open world mobs drop nothing, might be lucky to find a common item once in awhile… also I know the world bosses spawn etc and I should be killing but again they just floor you lol, gaining gear here is abit hit n miss if I’m honest. Other then that really enjoying the game!
