Guild Wars

Tight-knit teams of adventurers are not at all alien to the competitive spirit, which you have repeatedly proven in guild wars. However, it's time to update this mechanic by adding rewards and changing how its seasons work, as well as adjusting the mechanism for obtaining rating points.

Guild ratings and off-season

We have changed the format of guild war seasons. Now seasons of active struggle for position in the rating table alternate with off-seasons — breaks, during which you can spend the rewards received at the end of the season and prepare for future battles. In addition, we have made a number of changes to the mechanics of guild wars and their ratings in general:

  • Guilds ratings start at 0 every season for every guild and cannot fall below 0.
  • The number of rating points you receive for winning guild wars now depends on the difference in rating points — the higher the enemy's rating relative to yours, the more you will receive, and the faster you can move up the table. It’s the same with defeat — the lower the enemy’s rating relative to you, the more you will lose. In case of a tie, rating points are also redistributed — in favor of the guild with a lower rating.
  • The duration of a war was reduced from 3 to 2 days.
  • “Guild Energy” is now required to declare war. The cost of declaring war depends on the maximum number of members in the guild.
  • It is impossible to declare war between seasons - rest and gather strength for new battles in the next season.
  • Victory points for completing quests in dynamic areas are now only awarded for completing the final quest, the boss fight.
  • Disabling PvP status in the middle of the ongoing guild war season means refusing to participate in it — the guild will forfeit in all current wars, will be excluded from the ranking and will no longer be able to take part in the current guild war season.
  • The Warfare talent, which provides access to guild wars, has been moved. If it was learned previously, the guild will receive back the amount of energy spent on it and will be able to learn it again.

The next season of guild wars will begin on October 2 - be sure to prepare for hot battles and don’t forget to learn the “Warfare” talent in advance!

 

Rewards

Of course, under new rules wars should be fairly rewarded!

The more wars you win, the more rating points you will receive, and the higher the place in the rating table you will be able to take. The size of your reward will depend on this — “Valor Tokens”, a new currency for the new section of the in-game store.

It is necessary to spend the earned Valor Tokens before the onset of the new season, because immediately after that they are automatically converted into gold - do not miss this moment! Fortunately, for it you will be able to purchase from an attractive assortment for any needs - cosmetic items, resources for pumping, equipment, as well as boosters and new consumables.

 

Consumables

  • The Battle Standard — a banner that can be placed on the ground to increase damage, healing, and defence for allies around the banner for one minute.
  • Power Infusion — increases the character's outgoing damage and healing for 30 minutes.
  • Power Shield — reduces damage taken for 30 minutes.
  • Adrenaline Injection - increases the characteristics of Ability Cooldown, Attack Speed, Critical Strike Power and Chance for 30 minutes.
  • Invisibility Sphere - applies the Invisibility effect to all nearby guild members for 2 minutes.

You will be able to try some of them before the start of the next season - they can be purchased in limited quantities for guild tokens, with a sufficient level of personal reputation.

 

Boosters

You're already familiar with the mechanics of boosters in Skypass, but the Guild Activity Store will also introduce two new types of boosters — Soulcatcher and Shadowcatcher. They are activated immediately upon purchase and increase the number of Soul Shards and Shadow Shards received for killing monsters, respectively. In the future, boosters of this type will probably be introduced for other resources.


Medals

For prize places, personal and guild Medals will be issued - special marks for player and guild profiles, allowing you to show everyone your achievements. The received medals will automatically go to a special block of the guild and character inspection interfaces. In the next updates, we will add a special section that will display all received and available medals.

Speaking of interface — we have updated the window with information shown when examining your character. Now it looks more informative, more convenient and pleasant. In addition, you can see the same window when you click on your hero's level icon, so you know what your profile looks like when viewed by other players.

We will continue to improve this window in the future. From the nearest one - we will configure the medal slots so that you can place certain insignia in them in the order you want or leave them completely empty. The same setting will be in the guilds interface.

 

Conditions for receiving rewards

There are conditions for receiving rewards for participating in guild wars. For a guild it is necessary to win at least one war, earn at least 500 victory points in it, and finish the season with a rating greater than 0. A character only needs to earn 200 war points to qualify for receiving awards.

You receive war points for actions within the framework of active wars — defeating characters, assisting in battle with them, and completing tasks. To fulfill the condition and receive rewards points from wars conducted are summed up, this means that for completing a task in the dynamic areas, with several simultaneously active wars, you will be able to complete the condition faster.

 

Ability Sets

For a long time, changing equipped abilities and their enhancements was a slow and inconvenient task, so the great warriors of Skylore were forced to limit themselves to choosing a universal set of skills, passives and glyphs, not the most effective one for the chosen activity.

Now you can prepare several sets in advance and switch between them almost instantly.Switching ability set is carried out subject tothat the character is not in combat and abilities from the current set are not on cooldown. Heroes gain access to additional sets gradually, one at a time at mastery levels 10 and 15.

In addition to the old mechanic of resetting all distributed chaos particles at once (only in the selected ability set), you can separately return particles for each glyph of a specific ability, which will allow you to make changes into the build easier and faster. In both cases resets now use Knowledge rather than Gold, and the cost depends on the number of Chaos particles returned and character level.

 

Equipment Sets

We have also added a similar system for equipping your character. Now having several sets of equipment suitable for different gaming activities is not only useful, but also convenient, because you can change equipped items instantly, with the press of one button. Access to the mechanic opens at character mastery level 10.

When you put on a piece of equipment, it will automatically be saved in the selected set, so that in the future you can put on all the elements included in it with one touch. The exception is the costume, weapon appearance, and display settings for the helmet, cape, and tail - operations with these elements are common to sets.

For different sets of equipment, you cannot separately configure the cosmetic elements used, such as costume, weapon appearance, as well as indicators for displaying the helmet, cloak and tail. Switching sets is free and instant, but is subject to the same restrictions as normal equipping/removing items.

 

Settings

Changes have been made to the settings window. Now inside the game you can not only turn off certain sounds, but also adjust the volume level, not only overall, but also music and effects individually.

The choice of language is now made in a separate tab, and the usual information from the “About the Game” section is now located in the “Community” tab. In future updates, we will continue to develop game settings so that everyone can get the most out of the game

 

Other changes

  • Fixed problems with incorrect accounting of Chaos Shards. For those characters who have already used “extra” Chaos Shards, their shards will be reset automatically and for free. The missing Chaos Shards will be added immediately.
  • Fixed a bug with the inability to accept a player into the guild who went offline in the Adamantine Grotto.
  • Missing costume elements on character have been fixed.
  • Information about a character’s personal reputation has been added to the character inspection menu. By the way, as part of one of the previous versions, we introduced a mechanic in which personal reputation will not be reset when leaving the guild, but will be reset to the level reached before the last cyclic reset.
  • The Sorcerer's illusions no longer damage towers upon explosion from the Destruction ability.
  • Now bridges can not only be built, but also destroyed - using the same tool. Additionally, bridges no longer disappear over time. More room for tactical tricks in 4.2!
  • We changed the way bosses and monsters target heroes for their abilities. Bosses will now use their spells on different targets more often.
  • In preparation for changes to the equipment hardening mechanics, we have excluded hardened items from in-game rewards.
  • Markers in the catacombs no longer overlap each other, but are displayed at a sufficient distance.
