Skylore 1.29 – Changelog

Warriors, the wait is over – Update 1.29 is now live! You may have caught a sneak peek at some of the new features in our Upcoming Changes post, but now it’s time to get the full scoop!

Revamped Character Progression

We're excited to announce a complete overhaul of the character progression system, bringing exciting new opportunities for your heroes! From now on, every character will earn experience points and level up, becoming stronger with each level gained. This new system adds depth to the gameplay and makes every victory more meaningful, unlocking new modes and stronger equipment!

With each level, your character’s stats – such as Maximum Health, Attack Power, Ability Power, Health Regeneration, and Weapon Damage – will increase. Plus, your Health and Vigor are fully restored each time you level up, so you can jump back into the action without delay!

This updated progression system will speed up the leveling process, especially for new players. Meanwhile, existing characters will retain all of their progress and gain new opportunities for advancement! Now, let's talk about the activities that will earn you experience!

Sources of Experience

With the launch of Update 1.29, there are plenty of ways to earn experience! You can gain experience through the following activities:

  • Killing monsters in the open world
  • Killing bosses in Raids and Guild Hunts
  • Completing quests
  • Successfully finishing Gorgor Contracts
  • Opening Dungeon Chests

As mentioned in our Upcoming Changes post, the amount of experience you gain depends on your character's level, the type of activity, and the level of the monsters, quests, or locations you engage with.


Equipment Upgrade Adjustments

We have previously hinted at changes to equipment upgrades. In Update 1.29, heroes of Arinar will still be able to use their current equipment – but if you try to upgrade an item beyond your character's level cap, you'll see a message that the upgrade is not possible.

New Sources of Vigor

Update 1.29 introduces new ways for Arinar's heroes to replenish their Vigor! Rather than gradually regenerating over time, your Vigor will now fully recharge when you level up and at 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00 local time. In addition, Arena, Battlefield, and Dungeon victories will continue to restore a portion of your Vigor. However, being out of the game for an extended period will no longer give you the Rested effect.

Keep in mind that Vigor affects the amount of experience you earn – if your character is under Fatigue, killing monsters won't give you any experience.


Increased Level Cap

Update 1.29 brings new progression opportunities and raises the maximum character level to 35! Along with this level cap increase, adventurers will unlock a new talent page and new passive abilities for each class, which we'll detail below.

New Currency: Marks of Ascension

After reaching the maximum level, Arinar's heroes will earn a special currency called Marks of Ascension every time they fill up their experience bar! This currency can be spent in a new store section to purchase exclusive items, such as new costumes and a special catalog. The store's selection will expand over time, so start saving up your Marks to be among the first to grab these unique items!

New Consumables
There's no resting on your laurels between seasonal ranked activities! Now you'll be rewarded with rare and powerful consumables for defeating raid bosses!

In addition to these rare raid boss drops, we’ve also added more common consumables.

The long-awaited Greater versions of the familiar Healing Potions, Health Concoctions, Strength Concoctions, and Bombs:

New Passive Abilities and Class Tweaks

With the new level cap, heroes of Arinar will gain access to a 15th talent page! This page contains new passive abilities for each class and balance adjustments to existing abilities, including updated descriptions of the passive abilities present there.

Alchemist

Other Changes

  • Fixed a bug where some rewards were not awarded properly during automatic SkyPass reward collection.
  • Fixed a bug where the effect of Loot Insurance was incorrectly transferred from mode-specific locations to the open world.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the confirmation window from appearing when selling upgraded items to merchants.
  • Fixed a bug where characters would get stuck in the thicket at the Thorny Hollow location.
  • Added a sound effect for projectiles from the Tomekeeper's Arsenal.
  • World boss reward cooldowns are now reset daily at 22:00 UTC server time for all players.
  • Monsters in common locations no longer give Knowledge. Currency can now be obtained in Gorgor Contracts.
