In their quest to learn the forgotten secrets of the past, the Noxes rarely consider the consequences. One day, a group of Kronunian archaeologists discovered a tomb, on the doors of which the letter “B” was carved and warnings about the horrors lurking inside. Of course it was opened.

So the secrets of bloody magic were revealed to the world, which quickly became an adornment of private librariums, and later a new toy of their owners. The art of turning blood into one's own power excited the minds of aristocrats, and the price in the form of someone else's life seemed insignificant to them.

The appetites of the Crimson Nobility grew, and they no longer wanted to be content with peasants and animals. Soon mass disappearances in Kronun attracted the attention of demonologists. Breaking into the estates of the suspects, they found not noble Noxes, but winged monsters bathing in a sea of blood. It was believed that none of the creatures survived the purge ... until today.
